Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson and Camp Boggy Creek are excited to announce actor Steve Buscemi as Grand Marshal for the 19th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children. On Sunday, October 6, Buscemi will serve as a special guest for the event benefiting children with serious illnesses and their families.
Buscemi is known for his roles on the big screen, such as Fargo, Armageddon, The Big Lebowski, Monsters, Inc., and various Adam Sandler films. He’s also directed several television episodes on series including The Sopranos, Oz, 30 Rock and Nurse Jackie. His performance on the critically-acclaimed television series, Boardwalk Empire has gained him two Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Golden Globe and two Emmy Award nominations.
As Grand Marshal of the 19th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children, Buscemi will lead the police-escorted ride from Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, Fla. There, participants can enjoy silent and live auctions, music and a free lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse. Buscemi’s support for the organization is greatly appreciated by the Rossmeyer family.
Shelly Rossmeyer, daughter of the late Bruce Rossmeyer, says, “We are so thrilled for this year’s Ride for Children. My dad loved this Camp and what it stands for, and to have an acclaimed actor like Steve Buscemi with us means so much. I think we’ll have a great turnout.”
